Miss Saigon is a song about mothers and daughters. Backed by a fusion beat, with indian drums and rhythm, with an unexpected dream pop chorus, it is a song about the sacrifices immigrant mothers make, seen through the nostalgic lens of a child, shop hopping and laying on roof tops.
